08:18 AM ET 10.17 | What a difference a year makes. Oklahoma State needed to beat Iowa State a year ago to reach the national championship game. OSU needs to beat ISU on Saturday to reach a bowl. Any bowl. ... OSU is 3-2 and has reached a crossroads. Where the Cowboys go the rest of this season probably depends on what happens against Iowa State. A victory might be the lift OSU needs to get rolling and become the Big 12 Conference contender most expected. A loss might be the final break in a season that has gone wrong several times. In retrospect, there are no excuses to lose to Arizona and Texas, two teams that appear to be average at best. No reason to look back. The next four weeks determine this season for OSU.
