Would the Dodgers shift Kemp?

08:15 AM ET 10.17 | At his size, Matt Kemp is a rarity. You simply don't see many center fielders who are 6-foot-4 and 230 pounds. When a body that big collides with a less-than-forgiving wall or flops awkwardly on the ground, the physics aren't forgiving. The Dodgers season, in fact, may have effectively ended when Kemp went barreling into that wall in Colorado, preceding one of the worst slumps of his career. It seemed to create a chilling effect on the rest of the lineup, which slumped its way out of contention for the next several weeks. Is it worth it to keep Kemp in center? Or should the Dodgers consider sliding Kemp into a corner spot, which -- by the way -- is exactly what happened with [Eric Davis] when he got into his 30s.

Maybe instead of barring into walls he should slow up a bit when he gets to them....its called a warning track for a reason....familiarize yourself with your surroundings and use better judgement.....going all out and getting hurt doesn't benefit you or the team....I'm not saying he shouldn't play hard ....just use better judgement...

Hey Mr. Dumb sports writer you always want your best fielder in center so he can cover more ground.

Yes--they have walls in left field, too, and those walls hurt just as much if you run into them as the walls in CF do. The only solution is to stop running into walls.

Lenny Dykstra and Aaron Rowand approve of this message...........

Lenny actually slid head first into the base of the wall one time....which might explain some of his activites after baseball....always enjoyed Nails.

if matt kemp couldn't play better after the collision or after he crashed in the wall trying to catch a homerun ball, it would be better if kemp be moved towrads the right field or left field, as long he don't lose his concentration and timming in every at bat, that's all it really ccounts here!!!

If the Dodgers move Kemp, they'd have to trade Ethier.

Okay, Ethier and a prospect to the Red Sox for Ellsbury?

wiseup: hire an outfield coach to teach outfielders the purpose of the warning track and how solid the walls are. Maybe we should cover the walls with bubble wrap. That would eliminate the excuses of slumping at the plate.
