08:05 AM ET 10.18 | Jason Pierre-Paul has put RG3 on notice. "Don't bring it to my side. Go the other way," Pierre-Paul warned. And as fast as Griffin is -- Giants coach Tom Coughlin said he was "probably the fastest guy on the field" last week when he busted a stunning 76-yard run against Minnesota -- Big Blue's defense has quickness of its own. "Trust me, we chase quarterbacks all the time. We turn and run to the guy no matter what," Pierre-Paul said. "He may ... zoom past us, but trust me, we're right behind him. You've got to respect that. It's not all about the speed. We've got all 11 guys who can run to the ball. You'd be surprised, very surprised. It's going to be a very good matchup," Pierre-Paul said. "Not on my side though, or on the other side. Not on my side."

Exploit the over-pursuit?

Skins' O-line needs to come up big, and not depend on RG-III to run for first downs all the time.

Is RG3 down with JPP's OPP?

October 18, 2012  08:19 AM ET

RGIII is a serious running threat to any defense, even the Giants. I would take him very seriously if I were JPP - no one is going to catch him from behind. If the Giants can keep him boxed in, they should control the game. If not, it could be a nail-biter.

so was the Vikings Defense, all the way behind him as he scored ..untouched!!

Good luck with that JPP

Not to take anything away from Griffin because they won the game and that was a spectacular run, but he was pretty ordinary other than that play. The Redskins defense won that game in the first quarter when Christian Ponder couldn't finish any of the THREE drives inside the Washington 10 yard line in the first quarter. Instead of it being 21-0, it was 9-0 and the Redskins had life.

"JPP warns RG3".....sounds like something out of a cross between Lost in Space and Star Wars....

True... But the killer will be the middle of the field being open for WR's as they try to box in the R.

Mark Schlereth on NFL Live highlighted a hilarious image of Kirk Cousins face and demenor on the sidelines as RGIII ran that TD.

He hating like a mug!!

He will throw more short screen type passes to his WR than he will throw anything to the middle of the field. I would be more concerned about that play they run constantly.

Only ran it a couple of times this season... Mostly early on to get RGIII in rhythmn against the Saints. It was a staple for MANY years prior to this one, though.

October 18, 2012  09:21 AM ET

That's mostly used as a "set up" play.

The best that's going to do is draw a taunting call after 6 points goes up on the scoreboard. If he even notices you're there.
