Chargers need to figure out how to trade for Jake Long

03:14 PM ET 10.18 | The San Diego Chargers have issues at tackle. Jeromey Clary keeps giving up BIG plays. Mike Harris shouldn't be starting in the league and Jared Gaither can't get off the injury report. The offense is visibly better when Gaither is able to play. Philip Rivers is getting constant pressure when he drops back to pass with the combination of Harris and Clary starting and he can't get comfortable. Rivers doesn't have the ability to escape the pocket, so the team needs to invest big time in an offensive line that can give him time to work with. A player that could be available in a trade is Miami Dolphins OT Jake Long. The Dolphins drafted Stanford Jonathan Martin who could be their future left tackle.

Charges are becoming The Jets of The West!!!

If you have a good offensive line, you don't screw it up by trading guys out of it. An offensive line is gold. Money in the bank. They key to your future. That which guards the family jewels. Right now, Miami is doing something right, perhaps by design, perhaps by dumb luck, but they've got something going for them. They should not eff it up.

Let's see. They trade Matt Moore to KC for Dwayne Bowe, and Jake Long to the Chargers for somebody who won't help. Two weeks later, the O-line collapses and Tannehill is injured. Let's see. The next man up at QB is ....... Pat Devlin. Anyone ever heard of him?

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is how the Dolphins got where they have been for the last decade.

Charges need a hell of a lot more than Jake Long. They need a coach and GM, let's start with that.

Yes, that would be the place to start. Then see how the talent fits.

Yeah ok because the Dolphins are looking to trade away one of the 3 players that are any good on their team , not to mention they are in a better position to win their division than the Bolts are.
I wonder sometimes why I continue to read these stupid articles.
