09:14 PM ET 10.18 | Jon Jones seems to have found Chael Sonnen's verbal kryptonite: TRT. On a conference call with reporters Wednesday, the UFC champion took plenty of shots on Sonnen about the subject. "I think it's terrible. I think it's absolutely terrible if you're going to consider yourself an athlete. TRT would be perfect for Chael Sonnen if he wasn't competing in one of the toughest sports in the world," Jones stated. "I think Chael Sonnen made tons of money when he was a young guy, and now he's an older guy. And now just to be able to take a drug and super-enhance yourself back to where you were in your 20's is bull."

Let old J.J. pop a low "t " level and he will be the first in line to get his 30 day free trial of Axiron. I spit the truth.

most of the guys on TRT are getting treatment for low testosterone caused by steroid abuse when they were younger that damaged their body's ability to produce it naturally....if Jones isn't using steroids, he is HIGHLY unlikely to EVER need TRT....

I have never used steroids and have kept in good shape my whole life. Two years ago a doctor and I were hunting and I was saying how I had no energy and that things seemed to bother me a lot more than they used to. He set me up for a full physical along with blood test. My T level came back 243, which is low and should be around 600. Started treatment and all is back to normal. The doctor told me that he is treating a lot of men much younger than my 52 years for the same thing and he also told me that he is seeing more and more low levels as well as his fellow physicians.

Anyone who uses TRT should be banned from sports, period.... Their use of such drugs and the approval of such actions are what is driving today's kids to think that's it's ok for them to use and abuse. Unknowingly hindering them in their lives when they get older. TRT is for average people trying to be something they are not or in other words a wanna-be..

pfffttttt !!!!!!!!!!! Your screen name says it all. As long as the levels fall within the norm, should be acceptible. No different then loading up on anti inflammatory's to relieve old joints. Medicine is medicine.

but we aren't talking about 52 yr olds....we are talking about people in their prime...people that are athletic....if someone NATURALLY has a testosterone issue at such a young age, they wouldn't be motivated to get into a sport at such a high level....one of the side effects of low T is that you just wouldn't be as interested in something that was so aggressive and high energy...the ONLY way you get guys at THIS level of a combat sport with low T is if they had normal T at one point and messed it up by abusing steroids.

it's more like pretending to have attention defecit so you can get away with taking the meds that contain amphetamines...or like using steroids and claiming that it's to reduce inflammation...
let's pretend that there is a god, and people are born to be who they are born to be....these people weren't born to be fighters...they were born to be women...
god or not, they simply aren't men without cheating...

Ok so like I said, If he pops a low level he will be beating down his doctors door to get it.
And I know several folks such as myself that were athletic and involved in physical sports when they were young that did not use steroids and they are on TRT. As guys fight into their mid and late thirties you are going to see more and more TRT use.
All low T is not caused by steroid abuse.

I really hope Bones destroys this guy and thats the last anyone ever hears from this freaking guy. He annoys me to no end, he was that kid in high school who thought he was smarter and tougher than everyone else and needed to be punched in the face by someone who was unimpressed. The whole low t thing is ridiculous, if you can't generate is natually you shouldn't be able to fight, plain and simple. It's cheating no matter how you wanna slice it.

So lets say you can't produce all the T you need, would you take it to get your levels back up to where you feel normal ? Just asking a simple question.

This isn't about what I would or wouldn't do, This is about what I am allowed to do. So what if i had a deterioration of muscle in my left bicep and even with surgery it would never be the same. Should I be able to take a steroid/growth hormone or some kind of supplement to help me compete with other athletes? Or should that just be considered a bad break and a tough ****? It's a very slippery slope once you start allowing some people to justify the reasons behind them cheating. No excuses should be accepted, compete without it or go get a real job like so many others.
