Steelers dodge Roethlisberger scare

08:01 AM ET 10.19 | Though Steelers starters Troy Polamalu and Marcus Gilbert won't play Sunday night in Cincinnati, and the team may be without their top two running backs as well as Maurkice Pouncey, they appeared to dodge The Big One on Thursday. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger tripped while dropping back to pass in practice and injured his right foot. It's the same foot that was broken two years ago. After being examined inside, Roethlisberger returned to the locker room, looked at his bare foot and pronounced it "fine." ... Before the regular season began, they lost two other starters, rookie offensive guard David DeCastro and fullback David Johnson, to injuries, along with promising rookie linebacker Sean Spence.

True... When you lose to the Raiders, you need not take any team lightly ever again.

Redskins 3-8 vs. the Raiders all-time.

Not that old. Pouncey, Gilbert, DeCastro, Mendenhall, David Johnson...all pretty young. Woodley and Redman are 27.

Yeah ain't that a beech? Most of the injuries are to the youngest players on the team

DeCastro was the one that really hurt the offense. That was the end of the threat of a running game.
