Tebow at running back? Tight end, too?

08:02 AM ET 10.19 | If anyone knows how to "move the needle," it's Rex Ryan. [Ryan] added another chapter to the future bestseller "As Tim Tebow's World Turns" by suggesting that the Jets' versatile backup quarterback could play some running back against the Patriots on the Sunday. The likelihood that Tebow will get a significant number of handoffs from Mark Sanchez is remote, but Ryan gave Bill Belichick something else to think about in the run-up to the showdown in Foxborough. "That's a possibility," Ryan said Thursday of Tebow at running back. "The thing about Tim ... by playing quarterback, he knows all the positions. So can you plug him in at running back? Can you plug him in at tight end? I think the answer is yes."

Water boy????

Not only is the coaching staff finding ways to utilize Tebow's talent. They're using him to fill holes on the offense and special teams when an extra body is needed. This is called productive management. Almost Tony LaRussa like management. With the golden arm of Mark Sanchez accompanied by Tebow lined up all over the field, this team is destined for greatness. And soon too.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, not so fast. They might want to start slow, like let Timmy lead the team prayer. If his magic works then work him into the lineup, but if Timmy can't get Jeebus on his side then he's useless on the field.

So they bring in the guy who is supposed to be the best wildcat type QB in the league, team him up with the coach who introduced the wildcat to the NFL, and then spend the entire year struggling to find a way to use the player.

This is the mark of genius.

If Woody's planning on keeping him for three years, he might as well get his money's worth somehow.
