08:04 AM ET 10.19 | And now comes another test for the experiment that is Carmelo Anthony, who has been excellent this preseason, and Amar'e Stoudemire. Now let's see if Anthony can continue his groove Friday night with [Stoudemire] by his side as the Knicks get set to battle the Raptors at the Bell Centre. After sitting out the first two preseason games because of a bruised left knee, Stoudemire and his new low-post game will be unveiled. It also is the first chance to see if Anthony and Stoudemire's games can coexist. The chemistry of their two "superstars" is not just important for the Knicks, it's the key to dethroning the Heat. "We're doing great in practice right now, communicating, figuring it out," said Anthony.

ds in a different order? I really hate articles like this. They're so stupid. As we all know (whether or not some of us want to admit it) basketball and the season is an evolving work in progress. If the Knicks lose to

If they play well together & win -- these articles go away.

How many times are people going rewrite the same article by simply putting the words in a different order? I really hate articles like this. They're so stupid. As we all know (whether or not some of us want to admit it) basketball and the season is an evolving work in progress. If the Knicks lose tonight it won't anymore mean that Amare and Melo will never be able to play together, than if they win by 70 points will mean that they can. I really hope we don't have to endure this type of bird brained halfwitted retread analysis everytime these guys step on the court together.

And to add to what you have eloquently spoken......this is complete madness from this thread and the various Melo bashers. Can Melo continue to be excellent as he has been the preseason? Can Melo adapt to A'mare when he comes back as he has been injured (knee) the past two games? Haven't we heard this identical story before? Why aren't the bashers bashing an always non productive Stat who seemingly is always injured wit particularly silly injuries such as firefighting injuries? Listen up New York, without Melo the Knicks will be disastrous as they have been the past two postseasons. Take away his performaces and then whatta ya got? I know no one really wants to answer that question truthfully. The complete best performance of the Olympics where he showed the world, particularly the other mega stars..Kobe, KD, Lebron how its done. In our last two postseasons its been Melo and nobody else. This whole tread is simply stupid and so are somma the warped Melo bashing comments!

You should never give up your hopes and dreams regardless of how unlikely they are

They never go away. They just evolve. Too much media fighting to generate content for web clicks.

Look at how the Lebron James articles changed after the Heat won. Also, the Knick articles were much more positive last season during Linsanity -- when the played as a team and won.

When the Knicks stopped playing as a team and went back to losing -- these articles immediately reappeared.

Also during Amare's first 1/2 season with the Knicks -- most comments were positive about their improvement and team chemistry.

They have to prove it on the court.
