04:48 PM ET 10.19 | Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Reggie Wayne has played nearly every game of his career with Peyton Manning, and both of those men are probably destined for the Hall of Fame, but in the meantime, Wayne can't stop gushing about rookie quarterback Andrew Luck. The rapport between Wayne and Luck has been organic and observable through the first six weeks of the 2012 season. "He's not your normal rookie quarterback. I've heard people say it before, I think our offensive coordinator, Bruce Arians, has said that. He's not your normal rookie quarterback. He does a great job of just taking everything in, not being pressured, not being forced to do something that he's not in control of. He can do it. Hopefully we can keep him a little cleaner, and we will. That's something that we've really focused on the last couple days. And he'll take it in. ... He's able to run a little bit so he can kind of get out of some troubles."

Bruce Arians thinks he's great, that does it for me, I'm on the Andrew Luck bandwagon!
I would hope the first pick of the draft wouldn't be your normal rookie QB,,,,

To bad the Patriots did not go 0 - 16, last season. Luck looks great as a first year QB. I have to remind myself that Rick Mirer looked pretty good to in his rookie year, then ugh....
Let us hope Luck receives above average coaching throughout his career.

Andre Reed, Tim Brown and Marvin Harrison as well.
Then, debatably, Hines Ward. Whether or not he gets in, I neither know nor care, but he definitely deserves it more than Reggie Wayne.
And that's not even counting guys who are still active (like Randy Moss) who will easily jump over Reggie Wayne.

I think you mean Rosenrye and Guldenbrown, players for the old Chicago Cardinals. Guldenbrown invented the spread offense, while Rosenrye was the breadwinner. They played until they were both sandwiched in one play.

good point about rookie QBs. Mirer was a total non-learner, though and physically slow as well.
