06:22 PM ET 10.19 | The NFL has handed down a "hefty" $20,000 fine to the Washington Redskins for the way they handled rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III's concussion two weeks ago against the Atlanta Falcons. RGIII left the game and did not return when he was blasted by the Falcons defense on a quarterback sneak he neglected to slide on. The Redskins in turn neglected to reveal the severity of RGIII's injury to the media, simply saying that the former Heisman winner and new NFL superstar was merely "shaken up" after the game. Washington later said that RGIII had a "mild concussion" and the NFL apparently didn't like the choice of words initially used to describe the injury. But the media may have gotten a little too excited about how severe the punishment for lying to them would be.

The kept him out of the remainder of the game. He was evaluated by a team of doctors. After the evaluation, they determined that he had a concussion. What were they supposed to do? Immediately announce they would sit him for 8 games, just in case?

Until the doctors completed the evaluation and issued their findings, there was nothing to say.

Misleading the gamblers what else would there be an injury report especially fining them for erroneous reports Than you look at the NHL there are 2 types of injury lower and upper body injuries
