03:07 PM ET 10.20 | The Reds didn't get much production out of their leadoff batters in 2012. Reds manager Dusty Baker tried four different players more than 10 times at the top of the lineup: Zack Cozart (101), Brandon Phillips (28), Drew Stubbs (17), and Chris Heisey (11). That was good for last in on-base percentage, slugging and tied for last with Houston and Pittsburgh in runs scored from the leadoff spot. With Phillips, Joey Votto and Jay Bruce ready to drive in runners, look to Cincinnati to make the leadoff spot a priority this offseason. Would Shane Victorino fit there? What about free agent Michael Bourn? Or will they turn to Juan Pierre?

there are a quite few teams who should have more holes than a water drainer, angels still are short in the closer spot, thirdbase is a big hole for more than two seasons,

mark trumbo would need to get selective in his pitches plus he needs to be more disciplined at his plate appearances,,,,

What about the Hamilton kid? I wouldn't bring anyone in unless convinced this kid can't play.

That is a big jump from Double A to the bigs in one year for a position player, and also the Reds like their young ss they have now, so I would let him get another year of experience in the minors and be ready for the big show in 14.
