But Rangers manager Ron Washington didn't play shortstop Jurickson Profar much once he joined the roster. The Mariners could be another option for Upton. They are willing to trade one of their intriguing pitching prospects...Taijuan Walker, Danny Hultzen or James Paxton...for hitting.

The D Backs have good young pitching, so the need for some of the Mariners' guys really isn't there. They would then have to replace Upton in the lineup anyway.
But, Andrus for Upton? That makes a lot of sense.
If the Rangers sign Zack Greinke, trade Derek Holland for Jacoby Ellsbury, and deal Andrus for Upton...they just got younger, more diverse offensively, and perhaps better defensively.

trading holland for ellbury is something that has been cooking for the last 3 weeks or so, andrus should be moved and replace him with the rookie profar, wonder if the rangers should go fishing for KYLE LOHSE??

the d'backs should trade upton to the rangers for andrus then turn around and trade andrus to the angels for a starter,the angels would need to get stronger at the SS, aybar has not been responding in the SS position plus aybar is weak and has no power at all!!!

I think you are right. Upton hit 280 with 17HR last year, which is right at his career averages. He is an average right fielder. The M's would do better to keep their young pitching prospects and see how Trout hits if he stays healthy. I wouldn't give up Andrus for him, but if the Rangers lose Hamilton they may need outfield help and he would be an upgrade for them.

the yankees should learn from their mistakes, RAFAEL SORIANO will opt out of his contract from thew yankees this winter, if the price drops in favor the yankees then they should keep him BUT if the salary increase yankees most let him walk away,,,roll eyes to ALEX RODRIGUEZ HEFTY CONTRACT!!
