Vince Young to workout for Arizona Cardinals on Tuesday

01:00 PM ET 10.21 | Kevin Kolb is inactive today for the Cardinals showdown against the Minnesota Vikings, meaning backup/starter/whatever he is quarterback John Skelton has been tasked with leading the reeling Cardinals. After two straight losses, Arizona is not only looking like a weak team that lucked its way into an undefeated start, but they have serious issues under center. So serious, that they've called up free agent and former National Champion Vince Young for a workout. Why would the Cardinals call up Young when Skelton has demonstrated he can manage games? Two words: Ryan Lindley. That's the only other quarterback on roster for the Cardinals that is healthy and should Skelton go down again like he did in Week 1, chances are Lindley isn't going to turn in a miraculous backup performance like Skelton has in the past. Instead, Arizona has said that Young will come in on Tuesday to workout and try and prove he's worth a roster spot.

Sounds like Kolb is more seriously hurt than they have been letting on.

As if Arizona didn't have enough QB problems....

wow how do we forget folks...vy did not have many reps in traing camp with buffalo bills. it's hard to get reps when you are a third stringer. reps should have been split up between the three qb's in buffalo. but it wasn't. now vy has the chance to come in if the owners and coaches uses vy strenghts to his advantage the arizona cardinals will make the playoffs and win the superbowl

Let me tee off on this one. Just WHO in the hell said Skelton can play QB and why would anyone in their right mind wand a QB who can't pass, can't run, and has the brain of a pea. If this is your backup to begin with, your screeeeeeeeeewed.

I can't stand Vince Young but he sure as hell can't be worse than Skelton.
And what's with Kolb. Either he is tough enough to play this game or he ain't. He got his starting chance and he gets hurt? Great.

He was a third stringer because he could not out perform Ryan Fitzpatrick and whoever backs up Ryan Fitzpatrick. VY is a bust and pretending that he just needs another chance will get a HC fired.
