08:01 AM ET 10.22 | Strike up the "sticky situations" references in San Diego. The Chargers could face NFL discipline after it allegedly used Stickum, or a similar banned adhesive, to gain a competitive advantage during at least one game, according to an ongoing league investigation. "We are looking into it," NFL spokesman Greg Aiello wrote in a Sunday email. At the team's Oct. 15 game against the Broncos, line judge Jeff Bergman confiscated a sticky substance from a member of the Chargers equipment staff, Aiello confirmed. The substance has been sent to both the Broncos and league office. The details were first reported by Fox Sports' Jay Glazer. Potential discipline includes a fine with the possible loss of at least one draft pick.

On the other hand, I can't that this "competitive advantage" has been of much help to them. I don't think it even balances out the "competitive disadvantage" of having Norv as their head coach.

Biletnikoff, whose got an award named after him, was covered with stickum. What's the problem? Let everybody use it. What's hurt? One team has better stickum than another team? Please.

The Raiders were the team that made stickum famous.
But, their moms complained because it was so hard to get their uniforms clean every week.

Losing a draft pick isn't that bad for the chargers. AJ would have drafted a bust with it anyways.

Even if they were using it, it didn't help much.

Yes. Plus its easier to make it legal than to be sure you have caught ALL the teams who are sneaking it in.

Actually that might solve some problems. Remember when if the ball was within 7 feet of a receiver it was caught.

Instead of taking away a draft pick, make them use KY the next time they play the Broncos.

I remember when the Raiders used so much stickum that a ball hit Lester Hayes' uniform and stuck there.

memo to Dean Spanos and company - it isn't stick'em that you need, it's new leadership from the top down and from down up. Nope, not even stick'em could fix this mess.
