[Walsh] had actually played on with a serious knee injury that will now cost him the remainder of the season. That was the bombshell dropped Sunday, when head coach Mike Gundy revealed OSU's latest body blow during his regular teleconference with the media. Walsh, himself in a replacement role for the injured Wes Lunt, is done. Now the focus flips back to Lunt, and the hope -- need -- for a speedier recovery. Or it could finally find senior Clint Chelf, the odd man out in the spring quarterback derby, now the one man standing at 100 percent.

If Lunt comes back they are fine, however the Chelf kid has never impressed me in what little I have seen of him. They will still put up points, but he has a higher margin for mistakes!

It is not an excuse if true and from an old fart. Great time and memories built. I brought you and the rest of the FN crew what the little bird left on the fence post! Did look for FJJ a new defense and LUS a new QB/OC but Mickey was fresh out of both and just laughed at me.

Now a long trek back to West Texas.
