Deal must be struck this week

08:19 AM ET 10.22 | Time is clearly running out in the NHL's labor dispute. And so it comes down to this: a week, maybe less, to not just save a season but a game's reputation; to save the reputation of its players and owners and to disprove the widely held notion -- one that grows by the day -- that hockey will just never get it right. Less than a week to prove that hockey isn't the crazy, drooling uncle of sport. ... If commissioner Gary Bettman is to be believed, a full 82-game schedule can still be saved if the NHL and its players can get a deal done by Oct. 25. We're guessing there is wiggle room there, that if there is significant progress made toward resolving this dispute over the next few days, that the deadline could be pushed a little.

Well the 25th is Thursday gentleman. The NHLPA has publicly proclaimed that THEY will NOT be sitting down for any meetings THIS WEEK.
Well, that leaves for standing room only Donald...something that could be a pipe dream if you guys don't get your act together...and soon!

I'm rooting for a game still tied at the end of 12 innings, then extremely heavy rain for a month.
After that, a coin flip.

I'm fine with either of them, traditionalist that I am. Tiger/Giants and Cards...that's okay since The Yankees left their bats home for the playoffs.
