Ike Davis to draw trade interest this winter

02:40 PM ET 10.22 | The New York Mets front office has said that nobody is off limits this offseason, though, obviously, some players are harder to move than others. Ike Davis broke out in 2012 with 32 homers, so there will be teams interested. Tampa Bay or Boston could be two teams looking to add the first baseman. His power and defensive skills make him valuable, plus the team controls his rights through 2017, so any team that comes calling will have to pay up ??? what are the odds?

Why would the Mets trade him......makes no sense....he's young..he plays a good first base...he has power which they sorely need.....and he's cheap right now......

why would the mets think in moving IKE DAVIS would be good for them, unless they get a top profile player in return other than that it should be a waste,,,

there are better options work and use the same strategic as the rays/A's or even washington, reload the pitching arsenal, hitters always should be last to build around in the minors,,,

IKE DAVIS availability should bring in top conssistant pitcher to the mets rotation,

Best thing that could happen to Davis!!! Get out of town!

October 22, 2012  06:20 PM ET

the mets statements towards their rotation,,,,if they can't trade santana and his contract, if they can't resign david wright, then they would try to trade any player WHO had a good year this past season,,,

the jays would wellcome back,,, roberto alomar as their manager, who is the taker??

October 22, 2012  06:22 PM ET

i say get brad ausmus, this guy could be an impact manager before you even know it!!!

October 22, 2012  06:24 PM ET

ike davis would be a good fit in the jays rotation, because the jays regular firstbaseman cillapse this past season linn??
