03:58 PM ET 10.22 | Immediately following the news that Washington Redskins tight end Fred Davis was done for the season with a torn Achilles' tendon, the talk immediately began that the Redskins would bring former H-back Chris Cooley back to Washington. As it turned out, the immediate assumptions turned into a reality. Cooley will re-unite with the Redskins but how soon can he contribute after being away from the game through the first few weeks. If you ask Cooley, he should be just fine. "I'm really, really glad I didn't go anywhere else," Cooley said, per Rich Campbell of the Washington Times. "Right now it's just about fitting in and doing what I can do."

This has to be one of the dumbest comments I have read in awhile. I'm not a Cooley fan but just because a player is unsigned, doesn't mean he is not doing jack to be in good shape. Unsigned players know they will be called at any time.
