08:06 AM ET 10.23 | Pat Riley has apparently picked Boston to win the Eastern Conference and Atlanta to win the Southeast Division, though both come with an asterisk. In the NBA's annual general manager survey, 96.7 percent of respondents picked the Heat to win the East and the Southeast. GMs cannot vote for their own team so 29 of the 29 other GMs (unanimous) went with the Heat to win the East and the Southeast. That means the Miami vote is the only one that went to Boston to win the East (3.3 percent) and Atlanta to win the Southeast (3.3 percent). It must be noted that it's possible somebody at the Heat did their ballot other than Riley. But the Heat picked Boston in the East and Atlanta in the Southeast because they couldn't vote for the Heat.

Watch out what you wish for. If Wade goes down during the stretch or a significant part of the season, coyote Riley might have his wish granted!!

he picked Boston cause he couldn't vote for his own team.. anyone really think Riles feels the Celts are better?? lmao

Pat Riley is attempting to use psychology in an effort to get his team motivated to play for the championship again, wish his strategy luck!

Mick, call Mickmed and Mack. Tell them to posse up. Riley is trying to get on your bandwagon!!!!Celtics Rule!!!!!!Celtics in 7!!!!!

Celts rule what? Rule getting beat in the playoffs 2 seasons in a row by the Heat?

GM's were not allowed to vote for their own clubs, so he voted for 2nd best. Had Rose been healthy, he would have voted Chicago.

Miami is the CLEAR cut choice in the East. After seeing Lewis just drain 4 3's in their game Sat and Miller drain 4 3's as well, the East is in serious trouble.

If Battier, Miller, Allen and Lewis play to their abilities...its going to be a loooooong season for the Heat Haters.
