08:17 AM ET 10.23 | Despite a nice plug from Nick Saban, Tennessee coach Derek Dooley likely feels some heat on him -- heat that's being passed down. Starting quarterback Tyler Bray will be benched in favor of backup Justin Worley if he continues to throw interceptions, [Dooley said Monday] during his weekly press conference. "If he's loose with the football, he's coming out of the game and we're going to play Justin," Dooley said. "I told him that." Bray threw two interceptions in Tennessee's 44-13 loss to Alabama on Saturday. The Vols (3-4, 0-4 SEC) play No. 17 South Carolina (6-2, 4-2) on Saturday (TV: ESPN, noon). Dooley strongly criticized Bray for failing to meet with reporters after the Alabama loss, saying his quarterback needs to "man up."

Better not to meet with the reporters after the game than to sound like Cam Newton when you do.

BUT THAT WOULD LEAD YOU TO FUMBLE MORE OFTEN????

Hell, I've seen some teams that had so little confidence in their offenses that they were happy when they fumbled or threw an interception so they could put the defense back on the field. That way they won't get booed for punting on first down.

If every team benched their QB for playing badly against Alabama, there would be a helluva lot of QBs being benched!!!!!!
