Krejci: Bettman treats us like animals

A frustrated-sounding Krejci took issue with NHL commissioner Gary Bettman's $8 million salary and says that he treats players "like animals" according to a Google translation of the article. ... "[Bettman] does what he wants," Krejci said. "We want to play, we're the ones who are doing the show in the NHL. But Bettman thinks it makes him. It is unfortunate that the NHL have such a guy. It's a shame for the entire hockey world. [He] treats us like animals. [It's] really a shame that he is not at the forefront." It should be noted that Krejci is about to start a three-year, $15.75 million contract extension this season.

since each side is trying to win the P.R. battle here as well as the CBA battle, I wouldthink it would behoove both sides to stay away from stuff like this, when there are fans making less than $50k a year that can't afford to go to a game

HEY NHL...I have said before I would do his job for 1/10th of his paycheque, (see? Saving the league money already)... now I'll do it for 1/20th...with a better staff (my compatriots in these threads between them know EVERYTHING!!!) and one more thing Dwarfus doesn't have....HOCKEY KNOWLEDGE...

Yea, for $5+ million/year, they can treat me like an animal, too. Stupid, stupid boy. Fehr needs to meet with the team reps and tell them that millionaires complaining about being treated like animals is as stupid as the owners crying poor.

I gave my kitten a timeout yesterday - stuck him in a room by himself for a little while because he misbehaved. Kindof like a penalty box.
So, maybe the players are being treated like animals - except they make a bit more money than my kitten.
