Kronwall: NHL 'had an agenda'

08:21 AM ET 10.23 | Niklas Kronwall remains one of the few Red Wings still taking part in occasional self-run skates in Michigan, and he, like most players publicly, faults the league for the current labor situation. After little progress in negotiations, last week the NHL made a new proposal, and the NHL Players' Association countered with three, all of which involved a 50-50 split in hockey-related revenue in some way. The NHL's reaction was a quick dismissal. "It almost felt like they had an agenda going in there," Kronwall said Monday. "We had three proposals, each of which goes toward 50. All we're asking them to do is honor the contracts that's been signed, and 50-50 from there on. But it seemed like they have no interest in doing that right now, whatsoever."

I agree with him completely....this was planned

I bet I have even less interest in the current goings on than they have in doing that...

I am so completely uninterested I don't even read the stories or watch on the sports news.

I just don't care any more.

Exactly. How do you dismiss 3 proposals in 15 minutes? Easy, none of them are exactly what the league proposed. The owners are looking worse by the day when the players offered three paths to get to a 50-50 split and none of them were even discussed by the owners.

Ditto! I won't care in the season if they ever get it going, either.

I'll probably watch when it starts up again. But I'm not laying awake nights wondering when.

Did ya see the game last night Shipper ? The Cards bats were brutally cold , and the pitchers threw gas on flames all night. What a brutal destroy job by the Giants.

Before the playoffs started I decided to jump on the Tigers bandwagon, so I'm alright there. There are enough St. Louis (and Mizzou) fans on my hockey team to sicken me. The amount of sleep everybody let me have last night...not so much.

no kidding...if the Cards played the Yanks it'd have been 0-0 going into the 29th inning

I certainly made it sound like I slept with my whole hockey team last night, didn't I?
