11:45 AM ET 10.23 | Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh will reportedly not be fined for his hit on Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler during the Lions 13-7 loss to the Bears, according to Pro Football Talk. The hit knocked Cutler out of the game for one play, and appeared to diminish his effectiveness throwing the ball in the second half. Suh has earned a reputation for being a dirty player during his brief NFL career, but he has said that he doesn't care and that being called a dirty player doesn't hurt his feelings.

Why would they fine a perfectly legal hit?

October 23, 2012  11:50 AM ET

Yea I would say Suh could be labled a dirty player .....do's take alot of cheap-shots.

Exactly!!!

There was nothing wrong with that hit.

I haven't seen many in the two times I watched them play. That was a clean hit on Cutler

October 23, 2012  11:58 AM ET

Cheep shots ^^^^

Great hit

Agree. Not a thing wrong with it. Unfortunately his mouth and attitude will probably get bad calls thrown his way quite often. Not gonna help the Lions if (and when) that happens.

That was a perfectly legal hit, why would there be a fine? because he tackled him hard????

Cutler is very brittle and has been injured a lot in his NFL tenure.

Threw him down like a rag doll.

October 23, 2012  12:50 PM ET

He was trying to plant him. He needs to do more of that.

I think it was the forearm across the side of his neck that had people concerned. If Cutler hadn't been wearing a helmet and shoulder pads, a 300 pounder landing across his neck that way could be fatal. Of course, that is why they wear the protective gear. The helmet and pads took the pressure, and Cutler was fine--until the rest of the 300 pounder landed on him, but that is football.

Suh certainly made sure all of his weight came crashing down on Cutler , and did nothing to soften the nasty blow. The hit was brutal , but the hit was within the rules. You cannot fine a guy for doing the maximum allowable under the rules. Lets just hope they do not feel the need to now change the rules.

They can't fine the man for a legal hit...

October 23, 2012  01:23 PM ET

"...being called a dirty player doesn't hurt his feelings." That's good. I wonder how being 2-4 makes him feel?

Considering the pounding he takes behind that O-line, he strikes me as a reasonably tough guy.
