03:48 PM ET 10.23 | Eddy Curry's bid to reclaim his place as an NBA player was put on hold on Tuesday. The former lottery pick was officially waived by the San Antonio Spurs, ending his hopes of making their regular-season roster. Curry played well in the preseason, averaging 8.4 points and 3.6 rebounds in just over 15 minutes per game, but the Spurs didn't have the roster space to keep him around once the season began.
