05:25 PM ET 10.23 | Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew received some good news on Tuesday from team doctors. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Jones-Drew suffered a sprained foot during Sunday's game, not a Lisfranc injury, and will not require foot surgery. Though Jones-Drew will be sidelined for multiple games because of the injury, it is good news for the Jaguars and Jones-Drew. Jacksonville believed that Jones-Drew could have suffered a Lisfranc injury, which would have ended the running back's season. That, however, is not the case, as Jones-Drew's foot is merely sprained.
