Cassel's career at a crossroads

It's not just about Cassell. Every coach makes a career-defining decision at some point in his tenure with a team. This could be the one for Crennell that could solidify his place as the leader of the team or get him fired.

He's standing in the intersection and trucks are coming from all directions.

Cassell.......just a one year wonder.....now he's wondering where he's going to go.

Anyone who is a QB at KC is necessarily at a career crossroads.

He's in the 4th year of a 6-year, 60+ million contract. If he gets cut, which seems likely at the end of the season, he can be somebody's backup for a few years, or he can just retire with what he's already got. That's what I'd do.

The popular song "Crossroads" by BONE Thugs was about death so I guess the title is totally appropriate. This is the death of Matt's career. - R.I.P. as a starting QB
