Leadership void in Philadelphia

08:00 AM ET 10.24 | As Andre Iguodala proved during his stay in Philly, there's a difference between being a team's best player and its leader. It's uncertain who will rally the roster moving forward. All three of the main candidates are questions. [Jrue Holiday and Evan Turner] are both young and remain unproven. [Andrew Bynum] is the most talented of the lot, and the Sixers worked hard to build a team around him. But there have been concerns about his immaturity in the past, and he still hasn't stepped on the court with his new teammates. Given everything [Doug Collins] has said, Holiday should probably be the guy. But what if he isn't? Can the Sixers excel even if, like last season, they have a bunch of passengers but no designated driver?

He's a bit of both and He'll work wonders in Denver.. him and Ty Lawson will be killer... there is so much depth on the Nuggets and his unselfish attitude is going to make this team challenge right away... Yes they did need a defender... name one wing player on that roster that can defend at least half decent on a consistent basis??

Yes he is a go to guy... he's just not a full fledged star in this league.. but at the same time Lawson is a go to guy as well... Iggy could play second fiddle to him perfectly and having Gallo as a third option or even Chandler makes this team scary good... Iggy is perfect for this team because if you cheat to double they have way too many weapons to make you pay. His passing and Defense are going to really help this team more then any of you believe, especially when they fast break..

a go to guy is a guy who makes the whole team better... not the better scorer... just to clarify... I'm surprised you of all people don't see how much of a win it is to have Iggy on this roster and what he brings to this team

Yes, the Sixers will have to fill that void, however, it should not fall on Bynum's shoulders. The leadership position should be annoited to Theadious Young in my opinion because he now has the most playing time and experience as a Sixers. I notice during an exibition game that he was being used off the bench, but his value after losing Meeks, Brand, and Iggy is more valuable coming off the bench than starting. Bynum will have to prove himself as a Sixer before he can assume the leadership position, he know longer will have Kobe and Gasol to take away some of the bright lights that will shine in his direction, Philly is a tough place to play if the fans are not pleased.

Are you calling Andre Miller a go-to guy? If so, wow. He is a nice complimentary player and seems like a nice guy, but he would not come close to being what I would call a go-to player.

Miller,, while not a consistant "go to guy" is a leader and can on occasion (see last years Sixer/Nugget game) become a "go to" scorer.
