12:56 PM ET 10.24 | With the growing uncertainty that a full NHL season will be saved by this Thursday's proposed deadline, another big name has agreed to head to Europe in an attempt to stay sharp while the lockout continues. Minnesota Wild captain Mikko Koivu has agreed to play for his hometown TPS Turku of the Finnish hockey league after seeing the negotiations between the NHL and NHLPA stall. The lack of progress toward a new CBA forced Koivu's decision on whether to stay in North America or head home and play competitive hockey. According to Matias Strozyk of Jatkoaika and Elite Prospects, Koivu signed a contract with the club that lasts until the end of November, giving him ample time to reassess the situation in North America and a buffer zone should a deal get done and Koivu needs to return to Minnesota for the season. But Mikko may not be the only Koivu to return home. Brother Saku is rumored to be potentially joining Mikko in suiting up for the TPS Turku in what would be a family reunion of sorts. The two brothers have never played together on the NHL stage, but have multiple experiences in the international hockey scene.

I hope The Fehrless leader and his brother will have the opportunity to serve the international community by representing hockey players everywhere. It's only fehr you know. Why should North America be the only place that the evil rich are confronted? King Donald fights to get these downtrodden serfs a living wage over here and now it's time to help them in Europe and Russia. Arise wingers, goalies, d-men even Zamboni drivers. First the greed of ownership, then global warming, can serfdom, even slavery be far behind? I think not! What's next......outlawing 'roids? My God, where does it end?
