UCLA's Muhammad injures shoulder

07:54 AM ET 10.25 | Though his college career is barely underway, UCLA freshman wing Shabazz Muhammad has proven to be quite a news-maker. [Muhammad] injured his right shoulder during basketball practice Wednesday, another potentially serious obstacle for a player considered among the most talented freshmen in the nation. The extent of the injury is unknown. UCLA officials are awaiting the results of an MRI exam. ... Investigators are looking into financial assistance Muhammad received from a man the family has said is a longtime friend. They have also asked about money that a financial planner gave to Muhammad's summer team in Las Vegas. With [Kyle Anderson], the NCAA appears to be focusing on the relationship between his father and an NBA agent.
