I can only imagine the despair his Family will suffer with a 10% roll back. LOL I reluctantly agree with him on his base point. All existing idiotic contracts must be honored.

Don't think he's calling the contract insulting. The idea that the league can back out of signed contracts anytime it wants is insulting. It's like someone said the other day, it's as wrong as a player holding out for a new contract while the one he signed is still ongoing.

I and I think most others on these threads agree with you entirely on this. I cannot see any possibility that this will end until the league agrees to honor all contracts signed before September 15 . And this will probably require a several year period to adjust the salary cap for teams with existing multi-year contracts. I don't think that would be impossible or unworkable and it would take very little effort on the part of both sides.

We only have a limited time to play and earn a living as hockey player's and we're doing everything we can. Every guy has worked hard for that.

We agree Jonathan...and those 4th line guys that help make get you those huge contracts will likely never see the NHL ice again after this year...but what the heck, you talented stars will still get your millions...while the work horse 4th liners will be exchanged for younger or less expensive replacements who will wear their numbers next season.
