02:48 PM ET 10.25 | With the NFL trade deadline coming up next Tuesday, the New York Jets (3-4) have a valuable asset in backup quarterback Tim Tebow, who potentially could be leveraged for an attractive return as the centerpiece of a deadline deal. However, owner Woody Johnson and the rest of the organization have remain stedfast in their assertion that the most popular backup quarterback in the NFL will not be traded. In fact, in an interview earlier this month, Johnson went as far to say that Tebow will be with the Jets for the full length of his three-year contract.

The Story is quoting Woody in an Interview he did earlier this month...

That's a long time in the NFL :-)

The Jets got exactly what they were looking for with Tebow... Attention and Merchandise sales.

I remember somebody hanging out a 2-story banner from an upper floor of my college dorm.

GET SPIRO FIRST

By coincidence, the brother of a guy who lived in the dorm was the Assistant DA in Maryland who did just that.

Trade him to who, for what? Maybe trade him to the Vatican for a Cardinal to be named later. Or to the Christians for a Lion.

Sometimes I crack me up.

This is like the Yank's announcing that they won't trade ARod. It gets some media attention, not much else.
