08:16 AM ET 10.26 | Mark Cuban joined Charlie Rose and Gayle King on Thursday's CBS This Morning, and the conversation, not surprisingly, turned to the Mavericks. Rose: One basketball question. I'm doing a profile of Jeremy Lin. What do you think of Jeremy Lin? Cuban: The Mavs were the first team to sign him as a free agent, and we loved him. He's a kid that was fearless. He was obviously smart having got into Harvard. He was a lot more athletic than people expected. We really looked at him as a potential as another Steve Nash. We wanted to sign for summer league, wanted to sign him to a contract for the Mavs. ... Rose: Can he be another Steve Nash? Cuban: Yeah, he absolutely can. He???s that good. He's got that type of talent.

Cuban is spending too much time attending other businesses and trying to be a TV star.

He will never be a Steve Nash............ever

I hope Cuban is wrong....and the way he effed up the Mavs, there is a good possibility that he is.

His team recently won an NBA Championship ... more than we can say about most NBA teams.

What Are You Smoking, Bro?

You people are laughable. Jeremy Love is nothing more than a second rate marginal pg and you giving him mounds of respect for 25 games. Ya wanted the Knicks to invest in this fraud and then got angry at Knicks management for not getting shamed by this very very average at best pg. Now you have a person in cuban who's now stating he can be a two time league MVP and HOF'er. My God, what are you people on. This guy Jeremy Love is having an disastrous pre season, nothing close to promising at all. This is morelike insanity more than Linsanity and the funny part of it all is that you people are in massive denial about this, just as NFLers are about Tebow. Stephen A Smith said it all when refering to Jeremy Love, "he had his sunshine while in New York," and "now the real truth is coming out and will be out on him by midseason", "the true fraud that he is"! You people really and truly need to stop with this Jeremy Love nonesense, he's has a career as a "spark of the bench" ahead of him and truly not the HOFer based on his baskeball prowless. Cuban sounds moronic and its no wonder people are looking now at him as a fool!

And look at it now....thanks to him. I hope for the fans in Dallas sakes, this presently constructed team pans out to be good. I will give Cuban credit for this though, he will spend handsomely and has a history of treating his players very well, unlike this moron we have here in New York, "Jimmy Boy Dolan"....just look at the "Zeke the Freak" issues and the handling of Walsh, not to mention all the other dubious things he's done and continues to do.

I don't know what Mark Cuban it's smoking by saying that Lin can be the next Steve Nash. I'm really disappointed by this dude. After he assemble a championship team he decided to dismantle it just to sign a superstar that never was interested in playing there, and now he says Lin it's the next Nash. If he's that convinced at that why he didn't sign him, instead he made a trade for Darren Collison.

You ought to read some of the other posts (not a single one here in favor of Lin) before going into your automatic rant about how stupid all the other posters are for thinking highly of Lin. It makes you look quite a bit less than intelligent.
