Sharks' Boyle: Both sides impeding progress

08:37 AM ET 10.26 | Sharks defenseman Dan Boyle couldn't hide his disappointment on Thursday when the two sides failed to settle on a new CBA. "Even though I went through it once it doesn't make it easier," said a glum Boyle. ... That the league didn't even really consider what the NHLPA put on the table irked a number of players, including Boyle. "Sleep on it, look it over, discuss among the other 29 owners and then come back with a no, if that's the case," Boyle said. Somewhat surprisingly, Boyle didn't admonish his own side from helping to contribute to the stalemate. "It's supposed to be a negotiation, and I think right now both sides feel like it's their way or the highway. I think you're got to give to get, and I don't know that we're at that point yet," he said.

This is good.....and it speaks to the two guys at the top of this. they probably want to be thought of as hard hitting, good negotiators.
What they are in fact is two little twits holding their breath, hoping the other turns blue...all the while not giving a damn about anyone else involved...they think it's about them...ONLY

What's this? Rational commentary from one of the participants in this fiasco? This cannot be allowed.

The day the players hired Donald Fehr I knew there would be armageddon. You have a man who cancelled a whole Hockey Season vs a man that cancelled a World Series. Did people actually expect them to settle quickly??? These guys don't care about the long-term ramifications to the sport, they only care about how they look in the short-term by being called the winner when it is all said and done.
