08:06 AM ET 10.26 | For his part, Christian Ponder admits he has to be better than he was in Thursday's loss to Tampa Bay. Ponder has become a victim of the Vikings' fast start. Suddenly, there are expectations and responsibilities. Too many, really, for a second-year quarterback. We could see this coming. There has been recent talk about Ponder holding back the offense, even though the team has been winning. Now he's being seen as more of a liability than a young quarterback with a bright future. Now, he has become an obstacle to overcome. It's too bad, really, because it's as if we can see his confidence ebb and flow from series to series. He sort of gets some personal momentum going, then flubs up for an extended stretch.

Ponder needs an offensive coordinator. The play calling was brutal. Made TB look alot better than they were. For starters, if your facing a blitz on every other play and the corners are tight, you might want to try a quick slant. Very few throws inside the numbers.

It was his decision making that was brutal...dude was totally inaccurate and made horrible reads. Mayock continued to point out open throws that he simply overlooked, cant blame the coach for that.
