There's a blueprint for beating Oklahoma

08:29 AM ET 10.26 | Bob Stoops' home invincibility against ranked teams has already been punctured this season, on Sept. 22, when Kansas State left Norman with a win. No. 5 Notre Dame will try to be the second Saturday, when the unbeaten Irish meet No. 8 Oklahoma at 7 p.m. The Wildcats won over a month ago because they pressured OU quarterback Landry Jones, forced turnovers and were opportunistic offensively. Can the Irish adhere to the Kansas State blueprint for Owen Field success? ... One stark difference between Notre Dame and Kansas State, of course, is at the game's most important position. Notre Dame has been inconsistent at quarterback, relying on a combination of usual starter Everett Golson and Tommy Rees.

Score more points than they do. That's a good blue print. ND has no chance in this game. IMO.

ND plays good defense and runs the ball. It is the best formula for winning road games in college.

I expect the Sooners to steamroll over the Irish and slap them back to reality.

The blueprint is only good for one redemption per season though.

Get in Landry's face like KSU did and ND will have a chance.

Another good formula is if the home team spits the bit and coughs it up a few times and you don't. Zero U did a lot of this in the loss to KSU. If they turn it over against ND and give them a short field, even the Irish offense can score.

School is still out on both Zero U and ND. Neither has really beaten a "biggie" yet IMHO. And, I think we are finding out that beating the rusty cows isn't really a big accomplishment. Time will tell if beating Tech is one. Fact, the KSU loss by the sooners may be their best game to date.

Oklahoma has improved week to week, in my opinion, and is a strong team right now. This isn't the same team that struggled earlier in the year.

I look for Oklahoma to win this one.

I agree, but Van is taking the Vegas odds of ND +11.

OU is a different team now than they were in the KSU game...

To beat Oklahoma you have to make Bob Stoops think and try and coach. Making Stopps make in- game coaching decisions helps to beat Oklahoma. Stoops wins with talent but in close games Stoopy gets outcoached most of the time.

Have you seen his record??? hah .... If Jones does not give ND short fields OU wins. Their defense will shut ND down if they have to make drives the length of the field.

Or vice versa, get in Golson's face and the kid might panic!!!

As much as I'm "not a domer"m, I'd also take ND and the points if I were in Vegas.

Aren't they all? Getting in the QBs face is a recipe to beat any team at any level. I don't look for OU's running backs to have as many open field plays as they had against Tech, TX and Kansas. The pressure will be on Landry.

DC, I agree!!! I'm not so sure that the Sooners are 11 points better than ND.

And you both would lose your money and shirt, Okie will put a beat down on them for sure. Get more style points that way.

Question for you!!! Do you think that the Sooners will put any pressure on Golson??
