Alabama's next Heisman winner

08:31 AM ET 10.26 | For starters, his name probably isn't AJ McCarron. Does Alabama's junior quarterback belong in the Heisman Trophy conversation? Of course. He's making plays. Better than that, he's not making mistakes. ... But the Heisman is supposed to go to the nation's most outstanding player, and McCarron isn't even the most outstanding player on his team. That player is senior center Barrett Jones, perhaps a future Hall of Famer who someday might considered one of the all-time greats to play at Alabama. ... There is a future Heisman Trophy winner on this powerful Alabama football team, however. It's freshman running back T.J. Yeldon. It says right here, right now that he will win the award in 2014.

Wow, they are just lining them up for year after year to come.

You know, some other teams might like one every now and then, good teams, you know, like Auburn, Ole Miss, Miss St. and Vandy and the Vols too.

LOL the Tide doesn't have a player in the Heisman running this year .... so let's get a jump on NEXT year! And it's never too early to stump for the Hall of Fame either!

Alabama hasn't cared much about the Heisman, hence why we platoon RBs. With the offense averaging 200+ yards a game rushing, we could get a guy to 1800 yards easily, if he stayed healthy, but it's not good for the team.

Same thing with other teams and their QBs. If you see teams that leave their QBs in to run up the score, eventually, you'll run into a situation where the 2nd stringer is asked to perform, but he has no experience!

As for Barrett Jones. Ridiculous. An offensive lineman will never be a Heisman winner. Just put that out of your heads right now, whoever came up with that. He's won just about every lineman award out there and will most likely be a 1st rounder based on the fact he can play any position. Also, he's won a bunch of scholastic awards and a lot of humanitarian awards. He's the kind of guy you hope you get on your team.

Wrong. Al.com is not a "Bama fan". They might put out articles like this every now and then but the majority of their articles criticizes Alabama and never predicts us to win the title.

Mark my words...McCarron will be sitting in the front row in New York this year. He won't win it...but he'll be close.
