Kings to sell seven percent stake in franchise

10:59 AM ET 10.26 | The NBA is reportedly pressuring the Sacramento Kings embattled owners to sell the team. It's doubtful, however, if putting seven percent of the franchise on the auction block will satisfy David Stern considering that share is coming from an existing minority shareholder who went bust. The Sacramento Bee explains: "The share held by bankrupt Sacramento developer Bob Cook is expected to be sold off, with the proceeds to be split among Cook's creditors." At the end of the day, this is just another small drip in the torture endured by Kings fans.

The last thing David Stern will do as Commisioner it's to buy that franshice and sell it to a group that really wants to win and show commitment. Mark my words this will happen.

As a Seattle fan, keep em. We don't want the NBA here again. Most people here could really care less, after that crap Stern and Bennett pulled to take away the Sonics. Especially after seeing them in the Finals last year. Eff off Stern.

Hey who knows, the Kings have too many good prospects to be terrible forever... If this new ownership group knows what it's doing the Seattle Kings could be a contender before too long. Imagine how epic a Seattle-OKC playoff matchup would be.
