02:53 PM ET 10.26 | Minnesota Vikings cornerback Chris Cook will have surgery to repair a broken arm he suffered in a 36-17 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday night, according to Vikings coach Leslie Frazier. Cook suffered the injury during the second quarter while trying to make a tackle. The injury will sideline Cook for 7-8 weeks, and he will be placed on the injured reserve with a designation to return. This likely puts Cook out for the rest of the regular season, but leaves open the possibility of a return for the playoffs if the Vikings qualify.

The odds of seeing Cook back on the field this year is slim to none, because if so the Viks would have to make the playoffs and with that showing last night it is highly unlikely of that happening.

And Arizonal took down the Patriots. Guess they aren't going to the playoffs either...
