03:56 PM ET 10.26 | What happens if Oregon's high-flying offense doesn't make it to Miami to take on, say, Alabama, Florida, LSU or Notre Dame? What if we get Kansas State and Alabama in the national title game? We'd get to see a lot of great defense and disciplined quarterback play, but probably not a touchdown barrage. One local columnist isn't all that excited about the idea.

If Oregon beats USC on Nov 3, 2012, but loses to USC in the 12 PAC CG, does that mean that K-State (they don't have an CCG) is ranked higher than Oregon in the final BCS polls???
