NHL Cancels Winter Classic, All-Star Game; Announcement coming next week

And i wonder who's fault it is that there's a lock-out..............the NHL could very well be negotiating a new CBA WHILE playing!!! Stupid.

I'm starting to see a lot of disgruntled fans on different and many websites....many of them swearing off hockey and not buying anymore NHL merchandise. GOOD i say...

F YOU NHL.

Do you suppose that the lockout is the NHL's way of covering up the huge mistake of putting the Leafs in the Winter Classic?

I second that emotion...

They never had any intention of playing the Winter Classic anyway. All part of the NHL`s plan. Players asked to get back to the bargaining table and were refused. NHL now says it`s unfortunate for the fans a deal can`t be reached. Well nimrods, if you refuse to come to the table, then duh! Not the sharpest batch, the NHL!!!

Happy hour was cutting in on their work schedule.

This sad mess just keeps on getting worse and worse......the games being played are in the boardroom, instead of on the ice.......not only hockey fans are frustrated....the domino effect of no games for months, is hurting many businesses.....this NHL mess should never ever be allowedto happen.

An organized fan voice of the millions of hockey fans SHOULD be able to lock-out the NHL.
Don't buy the newpapers, cancel the sport channels, DO NOT BUY ANY NHL PRODUCTS, let the sponsors know they can pay less for NHL games with less interest for the sport. The NHL is not the NFL or NBA and does not have the same advantages for television contracts. It is still in its infancy as far as popularity in the U.S.
Put pressure on the owners, especially in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Boston, Philly...and do not do anything, but watch the games on free t.v stations.
Let the NHL suffer a loss...then see how both parties feel about contract negotiations and how they will all lose money. F them all, both sides.
Why can't the CBC at least broadcast the AHL? I'd be quite happy to watch those games and get more familiar with the players and league instead of these stupid, 'historical games'?

Bettman has been insulted and this is the payback for the NHLPA not accepting his generous offer. Simple.
Eventually, he will win over Fehr as the owners hold all the cards and they know it over the long run.
The money lost by the players will be greater than what they will ever get at the table and they will eventually have to fold...the pressure will come from the lower 2/3rds of the players IMO.
