04:48 PM ET 10.26 | Miami Dolphins center Mike Pouncey had some choice words Jets linebacker Aaron Maybin, who Pouncey called Maybin "one of the biggest busts in NFL history" during an interview on ESPN Radio New York with Stephen A. Smith and Ryan Ruocco. The Jets' linebacker has suggested that they want to take out Dolphins running back Reggie Bush in their matchup on Sunday. So allow the exchange of pleasantries to ensue. Pouncey has called Maybin "a joke" and says he doesn't understand an unproven player stepping out and making claims of taking out the starting running back. Pouncey's response to that: "Yeah, we get very angry. And I can tell you one thing, it's going to be a physical game. And hearing that from a guy that was just known last year as one of the biggest busts in NFL history, to open up his mouth and say he's going to hurt our starting running back? No, we're not going to have that. So it'll be a physical game."

Really, there should be a rule about trash-talking by teams that aren't over .500.

I don't care how much those two yap, there will never be a more bitter rivalry than the one between Dick Butkus and the center for the Lions - Ed Flanagan. Butkus once called a timeout in the last minute of a game the Bears had no chance of winning, just to get one more shot at Flanagan. *THAT* is true dislike.

I'm a little perplexed. With all the concern about the bounty case in New Orleans, the NFL, with whom I side, allows a player from an opposing player to say "I'm going to take out" someone. Its OK to announce yoiu intend to hurt someone? Something doesn't make sense.
