07:33 AM ET 10.27 | Mark Cuban says he has not closed the door on the possible return of suspended guard Delonte West. "No decisions have been made one way or another; otherwise we would have made it," Cuban said, adding, "It's just a process that's pretty much down to me making a decision." West has been suspended twice in the last two weeks for conduct detrimental to the team. Cuban says he believes in giving second-chances, pointing out, "Do you not remember last year? Obviously referring to Lamar Odom, Cuban added, "Let's just say we won't give as many chances as we gave people last year." Cuban said he was "too forgiving when everybody else was telling me not to be. So I'll take that one. I won't be as forgiving this year. I learned my lessons."

The Mavericks organization needs to learn to handle people with special needs and people going through tough times. Instead of helping Delonte and Lamar, they make a spectacle of it. There's more to life than business Mark... wisen up!

Wow! Expressing empathy when it won't profit the Knicks.

One must exercise great caution when closing the door in the face of a heavily armed man.

I thought they handled Lamar ok. After all these are contractors making very good money for their service. At what point do you expect them to deliver on what they are contracted for?

I can understand the Lamar issue. But when it's the same oranization suspending different players, you can't help it but question the oganization. I think the Mavs have a role to play in the way players act. Look how Nash and JKidd left them cold turkey... it's obvious Cuban aint doing something right...
