Scott Fujita's NFL career may be over

06:44 AM ET 10.27 | Browns linebacker Scott Fujita got choked up during a team meeting Wednesday when linebacker D'Qwell Jackson and kicker Phil Dawson named him an honorary captain for Sunday's game against the Chargers. That's because Fujita knows deep down that not only is it the last time he'll set foot on the field this season, it might very well be the last time of his 11-year career. Fujita, whose surgically repaired neck has been flaring up since the Giants game Oct. 7, has been ruled out for the Chargers and will be placed on injured reserve for the season. And although he talked like a man whose career is over, he wasn't ready to concede that just yet.

No, it's just you. Gotta wonder how the lighter practice schedules play into what seems like a higher amount of injuries this season.

As Reggie Bush would say; "Karma for Bountygate?"

And Reggie knows a thing or two about karma....It bit his butt big time while he was dating Kim Kartrashian...He gets rid of her and his career dramatically improves. Who woulda guessed?

Morning Mangler...Looks like the Steelers' current difficulties shouldn't hurt them too much...They seem to be the only team in the division with interest in winning it. Should be smooth sailing once things settle down.

It will be interesting, RGIII and the Redskins tomorrow, the Giants next week, still have to play the Ravens twice....I really don't know about smooth sailing....

Odd how the words 'big' 'butt' and 'Kim Kartrashian' can just naturally come together in one post.

With the groin and hamstring injuries, I think you have a point. All the concussion injuries and how much they are impacting player's being able to play is the NFL finally dealing with a type of injury they told players to 'work through' in the past. I don't think anyone is going to start saying boxer's are sissies, but if they get knocked out, it's an automatic month without training. Period. The NFL was trying to get players back on the field the next series.
