Chargers to waive K Nate Kaeding

05:09 AM ET 10.28 | The San Diego Chargers are expected to waive kicker Nate Kaeding on Tuesday in an attempt to rid themselves of his annoying $2 million salary they owe him. The catch is that the Chargers get out of a majority of that contract if, and only if, a team claims him after he's waived. If no team places a claim on Kaeding, then the Chargers are on the hook for his entire contract. It's not a lot but $2 million to a kicker you don't want is a bit excessive. If a team claims Kaeding, San Diego avoids having to pay him $1.05 million of the $2 million but if no one claims him and Keading signs with a team via free agency, the kicker will be raking in two paychecks for the rest of the 2012 season. That's of course assuming someone wants him.

True! Why claim him and be on the hook for the remainder of his salary. He'll probably sign for the Vet minimum of he's getting a mil from SD!

This sounds more like the curse of AJ Smith. He's the genius that negotiated the Chargers into this position.

What would Jesus do?

(and it's from San Diego so that's pronounced "Hey-Zeus.")

In that case, he would run like hell toward the north.

Waive him and wave bye-bye to your money

They need to waive Norv ... maybe someone will claim him and SD won't have to pay him ... Oh well you can always dream.

What are you talking about? I read no errors and rarely do, why be such a grammer Nazi when there isn't even any typos?

Idiots aside, Kaeding is finished and the Chargers need to get rid of him AND Norv!

Here's the quote and if you don't see anything wrong with it, then you probably don't get that you also misspelled "grammer" (sic). But, hey, we can measure the decline of the US by such mistakes, one at a time, or another way OR WE CAN DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT INSTEAD OF JUST CONTINUING TO MAKE SUCH DUMB MISTAKES.
