08:26 AM ET 10.28 | University of Miami defensive tackle Luther Robinson apologized for his father's profanity-laced rant on local radio. Hurricanes coach Al Golden opened the door for recently departed defensive tackle Kelvin Cain to return. Linebacker Gionni Paul had been suspended for the Florida State game. Robinson, a redshirt junior who was recruited by Randy Shannon, said he was genuinely happy with his current role as a co-backup to starter Olsen Pierre, and that he was putting all his efforts into beating Virginia Tech. His father, Luther Sr., called WQAM host Joe Rose early in the week and said Golden was "a liar" and what he had to say on the radio every Monday was "a bunch of crap," not to mention the dad's expletive. The father complained that coaches were favoring the recently recruited players over Shannon's.

We choose our friends, but not our family members.
Feel sorry for the kid; hope Golden doesn't hold his father's mouth against the kid.

Put the kid in a dark storage building, that will give his dad something to sue over. Until then, dad had better get rid of his phone.

that's what happens all the time in college football. choosing a college with stability at head coach is very important.

It's like Van says his father told him, "When ND loses its front page news, when they win its on the back page, if we are lucky".
