09:09 AM ET 10.28 | Deron Williams thinks the Knicks upgraded at point guard this offseason. Though Williams praised Jeremy Lin for the way he played in his brief, but spectacular, run as the Knicks starting point guard, he thinks the Knicks have more of a sure thing moving forward in Raymond Felton. "I would say Raymond Felton is a better point guard than Jeremy Lin, in my opinion," Williams said. "Well, he's just proven. I can't go out and say that ... [Lin] had a heck of a run. "The numbers he was putting up were All-Star type numbers, when he was starting. We'll see how he does this year. But going off of track record? I'm going to go with Raymond Felton. "And Ray probably had his best year [with the Knicks] ... that half year he was there, he was averaging like 17 and nine. He definitely likes the bright lights, and they're a good team with him."

now that the Rockets have gotten James Harden from the OKC, Jeremy Lin's development will be slowed. I would say I agree with Williams on this one

QUOTE(#6):

Why would his move slow his development down?

James Harden needs the ball on his hand to be more effective. What that means is if jeremy Lin doesnt have the ball with him, how can he develop to be a true good PG

I thought Lin would at least have like a 15 ppg 7 apg year, but now those would be his Max numbers now

#1. Harden is not really a PG.
#2. If you listened to the NY Media last year and over the summer, Jeremy Lin was a Fully Developed Monster capable of leaping tall buildings in a single bound. He's Steve Nash, DWade, DWill, & JKidd all rolled into one. :-)

I guess Dwill is still mad at how Lin lit him up last season... gotta stop holding a grudge and move on...

No way. Lin will pass the ball to Harden and vice versa.Harden will average at least....20ppg. He'll get his shots. As will Lin.

Are you sure? Look at the Bucks, Ellis' numbers dropped after the trade

And I did not say that Lin will not get his shot, but his development will be "slowed" down

QUOTE(#8):

As I see it, the Thunder made a smart trade. They may suffer some in the short term and end up with less of a chance of going back to the finals. However getting Lamb plus three draft picks will set them up for the future. Martin will fill in for Harden but I would be surprised if he comes back next season. He may even be traded during the season due to his expiring contract.

they're not going to trade Martin... they'll let him walk in the offseason and hope Lamb develops and is ready to go make an impact the following season... If anything I see them packaging their first rounders and maybe Perkins for a stud if things don't work out during the season...
