Boring times at the Tribune with no Cubs or Sox news to report they start dreaming about managers being replace or fired during the middle of the 13 season or beyond.

A double A coach is probably good at developing young players, but his main asset as head coach would be that he already knows many of the players on the big league team. So Buechele might make sense for the Rangers, but not so much for any other franchise. But I haven't heard that Texas is looking for a manager this year.

I'd go with Tim Flannery, 3rd base coach for the Giants. He probably would turn down the opportunity but this guy is the real thing.

I'd stay away from Larry Bowa, he's a great baseball guy but he just blows up. End's up doing more harm then good.

So many candidates and so few openings to fill.
