12:23 PM ET 10.29 | The Denver Broncos will be without linebacker Joe Mays for the rest of the season. Mays suffered a broken leg in the fourth quarter of Sunday night's win over the Saints. He was blocking on a punt return when an opposing player ran into him, accidentally hitting him with a leg whip that broke his fibula. Mays was re-signed by the Broncos in March to a three-year, $12 million contract. He started the first three games of the season, but lost his starting job after another injury and improved play from Keith Brooking in the middle. The team is expected to make a roster move soon to replace Mays.

That sucks. He was over his head when he had to drop back in pass coverage, but I loved his intensity.

Mangler, I like your new avatar. Those uni's are hideous, but they remind me of rugby uniforms. Do you suppose that is what they were going for?

Sorry Seattle, I didn't see this earlier. The Uniforms are from the 1934 Pittsburgh Pirates (they became the Steelers in 1940) This is their new Butt-ugly throwback uniform for 2012.
