02:19 PM ET 10.29 | Alabama should have both starting quarterback A.J. McCarron and leading receiver Amari Cooper back for this Saturday's game of the century of the month vs. LSU. McCarron suffered a back bruise against Mississippi State after hurting his knee against Mizzou, while Cooper's injury was a twisted ankle.

Quanity over quality these days

October 29, 2012  03:12 PM ET

Well, at least it moved the other Bama thread off the first page so we don't have to see idiotic posts about how McCarron is the same as McElroy, regardless of the fact that AJ is considered to be a 1st round pick his senior season and Greg went in the 7th round of the draft.

Its not a sissy sport. People get nicked and banged all the time, if they don't play in the big game then maybe they should be ballerinas?

There have been times in my life where I understood quantity over quality. When young and broke buying Mickey's Big Mouths for $1.49 a six pack on the weekend would qualify!

Im sorry but did i miss something? A half strength Alabama will beat LSU this year. Florida showed us that already and they have no offense.

Well, except 2 RBs and a WR lost for the year earlier in the year. The 2 RBs were not starters but saw significant PT.

How is Bama's SOS this year, as of today, any better than Oregon, K-State or ND??????

October 29, 2012  09:52 PM ET

Unless the LSU QB can complete some passes, they won't cover the spread of 10 points. Amazing how this coaching staff can't recruit and develop a decent QB in the last 6 years.

Schlitz was the cold beverage of choice in my youth at around $1.29 a six pack. Got to agree that MD20/20 was the nastiest crap-I couldn't drink enough to get a buzz much less hallucinations of beautiful women.

Everyone wants to talk SOS. Who has Oregon played as of yet?

ND? (TSUN & Okie) Funny how when Bama beat TSUN they was over-rated and when ND struggled with them They were a quality team. Okie problem is Big Game Bob and LJ (coach & QB) dont show up for the big games.

KSU looks good but what defense have they played against?

Schlitz Malt Liquor Ice $1.29 for a quart. Chug 2 of those bad boys, paint the town Orange and Blue.

Oregon hasn't played anyone good as of yet and the same goes for Bama. Look at both school's SOS "AS OF TODAY". That is why I said in my comment yesterday that Oregon's schedule is "Back" loaded, as all their tough games are coming up. Your comment on TSUN, doesn't hold any water, as TSUN is not even in the BCS top 25.
