05:51 PM ET 10.29 | It's now official: the Dallas Mavericks have waived Delonte West to make room for Eddy Curry on their 15-man roster. In a surprising turn of events, the Mavericks have cut ties with West after he got into multiple locker-room altercations during the preseason. It's unclear whether West will hook on with another team, but you can expect NBA decision-makers to be cautious before committing a roster spot to him.

Actually West might be a better fit for BOS than Barbosa is.

once we make the blockbuster trade, come to Boston Bro. we already have a 5 guard rotation.

Astute Celtics fan you are.........answer me this......how did the very unastute fan Chrisgar remember watchin game five of the 1976 finals live when in fact the last tape delayed finals involved your Celtics vs the Rockets 5 yrs later in 1981? Ya see this is exactly what I meant when I said I won't sacrifice honesty to just sound good or be in agreement with another poster.

I hope he doesn't try to clean up that bogusness wit I was at the game line....he didn't say that.

Being cut to make room for Eddy Curry has to sting!

That's as low as you can go. I'd have to make up another story. How do you go back to the hood and tell somebody you got released to mke room for Eddy Curry?

He'll catch on somewhere. Any team that makes sure he takes his medication will have no problem. He was fine in Cleveland, and didn't seem to have any problem in Boston. Too bad Miami is out of the question.
